* Princess Diana *
Diana Frances Spencer, Princess of Wales, was born in
Sandringham, Norfolk, in the United Kingdom, on 1st July 1961 and
died in 1997.
She was the wife of Charles, Prince of Wales, the
oldest son and heir of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. She had two
sons, the Princes William and Harry.
After her marriage, in St Paul’s Cathedral, she became
one of the most famous women in the world, particularly for her involvement in
fighting HIV.
Her marriage ended in 1996, after several cheating
scandals on both sides.
She died on 31st August after a car crash,
in Paris.
Her funeral was seen by about 2.5 billion people,
making it one of the most watched events in television History.
Even sixteen years after her death, the “People’s
Princess” remains one of the celebrities that still is important to the Press,
serving as theme for thousands of books, newspapers and magazines.
